EXAMINATION
RESEARCH STAGE

Below is a sampling of Black Diamonds products. To get a good feel for the geometries they use, I highlighted them for my own study. It appears they like to use very round organic shapes, flowing, chamfers, contrasted with flats in 
areas. This is very similar to what may be seen in nature.  

If you study the following provided concepts, the aesthetics used were abstractions of the geometries seen below.

CHOSEN CONCEPT
The final direction creates an expandable cook area to place hot pans while other items are cooking.

Prototyping
Quick and cheap bristol paper and foam core models were initially used to discover interaction and scale. 3D printing and sourced hardware were used to further ideate interaction, cost down, and develop the mechanical design.

3D Realization
Renders were then created for stakeholders to show how the user will interact and benefit from the product.
